The Iron Garden Pool Of The Valley
The ticket
The adult ticket costs $19.48 (€17), with $16.62 (€14.50) for ages 6-17 and 65+ and a family ticket at $65.30 (€57) for two adults and two children. Tickets are bought online for a specific date, and availability is released only 15 days ahead. The Azores-resident discount sells only at the physical office.
Hours are 10:30-16:30 every day, closed 25 December, with entry up to 30 minutes before closing. The practical consequence of the 15-day window is that a valley day booked in the same week as the park ticket is normal, and a winter visit needs even less lead time, while the walk-up option simply does not exist for anyone planning around a specific afternoon.
The water and the rules
The water is geothermally heated, iron-rich and runs at 38-42°C. The iron stains light fabrics and can discolour hair and nails, so dark swimwear is advised and swimwear should be washed before it dries. The tank holds 100 bathers and the jacuzzis 10, with a 30-minute bathing limit. Showers before and after are mandatory, no jumping or diving.

Entry costs $13.75 (€12) until 17:30 and $18.34 (€16) from 18:00. Children 2-6 pay $11.46 (€10) by day and $16.04 (€14) in the evening, under-2s go free. Tickets are sold exclusively online, entry is by arrival order and there are no timed slots.
Hours
The pools open 08:30-23:00 daily. Last entry is 21:30 and everyone is out of the pools by 22:30. The ticket is valid for a 1h30 maximum stay, and a second 1h30 ticket can be bought online and validated at reception.
The extras
Towel rental is $4.58 (€4) plus a $22.90 (€20) cash deposit, a locker is $2.29 (€2) plus the same deposit, and a hot shower is $1.15 (€1). A swim cap is sold for $1.15 (€1) and recommended because iron water discolours light hair, but caps are recommended, not mandatory. The Timed Monument Pools

The full bathing ticket costs $11.46 (€10) for ages 15-64, with $5.73 (€5) for juniors 7-14 and seniors over 65. A look-only ticket is $3.44 (€3) and lockers are $2.29 (€2). Children up to 12 must be accompanied.
The pools
Bathing is in four thermal pools and the official site uses no pool names. The "Azul and Castanho tiers" that older blogs describe do not exist on the current official site, which sells only a bathing ticket and a no-bathing ticket.
Capacity and timing
E-tickets run in 1h30 blocks through the day. The pools take 100 bathers and the site 250 visitors in total. The manager may close for weather, hours stretch to 20:30 in the 1 May to 30 Sep window, and while the official shuttle season runs entry is with prior reservation.

The Ocean Tide Pool
The natural pool at the island's western tip mixes volcanic heat with the Atlantic. The parks trail page states bathing above 30°C at LOW TIDE, and the tide, not a timetable, is the only schedule published for it. Full notes on /ferraria/.
The thermal spa beside the pool combines therapeutic baths with wellness services, but its hours and prices are not published on any official page and the venue is absent from the parks online ticket office. Treat every third-party price for the spa as noise.
The Free Fumarole Ground
